Over the weekend just gone, Montone (PG) hosted the 4th round of the Enduro Master Beta, organised by the Moto Club Fratta Off Road. A total of 75 riders from all over Italy kicked off in the Enduro Test and Cross Test.

Alessio Bini took part in the Challenge on his Beta 250 2T and recorded the best times on 5 special stages, ending in 1st position, ahead of Andrea Rocchi and Andrea Gava. Following in the top ten: Roberto Bazzurri, Matteo Luison, Elia Pegoraro, Daniele Tellini, Elia Campagnolo, Enrico Babuin, Alessandro de Vecchi and Leonardo Oberhuber.

Much appreciated was the participation of the young Federico Salucci who, riding a Beta 50 2t, completed the day with great enthusiasm. For the 125 Class, the leader was Gioele Granchi, followed by Francesco Pauselli and Alberto Ravazzini.

In the women’s Class, both wearing Lady Beta shirts, were Elena Ghelfi and Elisa Gallorini.

In the 200/250 Class, Edoardo Goracci got the 1st position, followed by Jacopo Rossi’s silver and Lorenzo Andreini‘s bronze. Moving on to the 300 Class, it was again Mattia Coppa who took the highest step on the podium, followed by Alessio Fagiolari and Gianluca Piccolo.

For the 4T Class, great performance by Alexander Maltry who, riding his Beta 390 4T, made it hard for Mirko Pavan, second, and Alessandro Montanucci, third.

Riccardo Giannettoni won the Veteran Class, climbing up on the podium with Lucio Chiavini, second, and Simone Benda, third.

In order to mark the season, there will be the Beta Day, next 15th October in Rignano sull’Arno; this will be a great moment to award the protagonists of the sixth season of the Enduro Master Beta 2023.

Enduro Assoluti Italia 2023

On the weekend just passed, the 9th and 10th rounds of the Italian Enduro Championships were held in the town of Darfo Boario Terme, in the province of Brescia: concluding the 2023 season.

The Motoclub Sebino designed an unusual race track, featuring five technical and treacherous special stages, with a short transfer mainly on asphalt, to be repeated five times on Saturday and four times in the final round on Sunday, for a total of forty-five special stages.

As usual, the start at the paddock, located in the centre of the town, kicked off the race, which had the riders fighting it out on a track made of: the special Enduro Test 1, very technical and on a ground full of stones for a total length of 5 km; followed by the Extreme Test 1 of 1.5 km on asphalt and full of artificial steps; then moving on to the Cross Test 1 on a sandy and dusty ground for a total length of 3 km.

Ending with the 4th and 5th scheduled special stages: the Cross Test 2 inside the Darfo motocross track, for a total distance of 2 km on hard ground, and the Extreme Test 2, the last special stage, a natural extreme with a few artificial passages, a short distance from the Paddock, with a length of 1.5 km.

The final race weekend of the 2023 season kicked off late in the afternoon on Friday 8th September, attended by a numerous and cheering crowd of fans, for the Prologue held on the same track as the Extreme Test 1 special test and valid as a test for the following race day. Steve Holcombe showed his optimal condition already on Friday evening by setting the fastest time in the SuperTest.

On Saturday Steve Holcombe rode a perfect race, starting off immediately strong, the British rider recorded several good times and at the end of the day won the foreign class and the Overall Championship. The rider, on a Beta RR 350 4T, also ran an incredible race on Sunday with no mistakes. At the end of a day fought to the last special, Steve Holcombe became Italian Champion in the Assoluti class for the third time.

I am extremely happy to have won the title at the Assoluti d’Italia Enduro because I had been missing it for a few years. The weekend was long and tiring with 25 specials on Saturday and 20 on Sunday and it was not easy to stay focused from start to finish. Now maximum priority for the double world round in Portugal.

The Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro 2023 comes to the end, while teams and riders get ready for the double round in Portugal, which will also mark the end of the EnduroGP World Championship.

TRIALGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2023

Over the weekend just gone, the seventh round of the Herzt Fim Trial World Championship 2023 was held in Vertolaye, France. The race took place in a pinegrove, characterised by an undergrowth full of stones and a dusty track, which was however well designed and enjoyable for riders and viewers, confirming the excellent organisation of the Motoclub Livradois.

The competition was of excellent level for the junior categories, but proved to be extremely selective for the GP category, for which some very tough and tricky areas were included.

On Saturday:

Matteo Grattarola finished with a good 4th position in the TrialGP, while Roura Aniol Gelabert finished 6th.

In Trial 2 Harry Hemingway had a very good race and climbed up to the 3rd step of the podium. Worth mentioning is the excellent race of Carloalberto Rabino, who finished in 2nd position. A good race, also, for David Fabian, who finished in 8th position.

George Hemingway overcame in Trial 3, securing the Championship Title. Good performances also by Mirko Pedretti, 4th, and Jonas Jorgensen, 6th, in the same category.

In the TrialGP Women Andrea Sofia Rabino ended in 4th position after an excellent race.

On Sunday:

Matteo Grattarola finished again 4th, just one point behind the 3rd position due to a few mistakes. Despite a shoulder injury in the last zone of the first lap, Roura Aniol Gelabert managed to finish the race with an excellent 6th position. Both riders confirmed these their respective positions in the final championship ranking.

In Trial 2 Harry Hemingway confirmed his 3rd place, showing his actual progress which led him to the 7th position in the Championship.

In Trial 3 George Hemingway finished 2nd and won his Championship Title. Mirko Pedretti achieved another good 4th position in the race and 6th in the Championship.

In the TrialGP Women Andrea Sofia Rabino climbed on the 3rd step of the podium, confirming her 3rd position also in the Championship.

Also worth mentioning are the performances of Laia Pi Ramirez and Marine Aurieres in the Trial 2 Women, who ended the Championship in 3rd and 4th position respectively.

Fast Team rider Andrea Rocchi, riding his Beta 390 4T, took the gold medal at the third round of the Enduro Master Beta, held in Poppi (AR) in conjunction with the Tuscan Regional Enduro, under the direction of the Moto Club Alto Casentino.

The race course consisted of a 4-kilometre Enduro Test, to be repeated three times, and a fast cross test all on a slope, again 4 kilometres long, to be repeated four times.

In addition to the extraordinary performance led by Andrea Rocchi, who climbed the top step of the podium in the Queen Class, an increasingly authoritative Andrea Gava, NSM Racing Team standard-bearer, battled it out in the various specials, snatching the silver medal for the day and still holding the lead in the entire Championship. The Top-Class podium was completed by Roberto Bazzurri, an icon of the Beta Enduro Master Challenge, who once again showed his talent, riding a Beta 350 4T.

The rest of the Top Ten for the premier class was completed with the fourth and fifth positions respectively of Mattia Andreini and Elia Campagnolo, in turn followed by Davide Simonetti, Matteo Luison, Luca Cavo, Enrico Babuin and Alessandro De Vecchi.

The leader of the Class 125 was Emanuele Pittioni, who repeated the success already achieved in Pomarance, while the silver medal went to Gioele Granchi, with Filippo Bellesia third. Jacopo Rossi was back in the lead of the 200/250 Class, leaving the lower steps of the podium to Lorenzo Andreini and Lorenzo Benedetti.

Mattia Coppa, riding a Beta 300 2T, continues to rack up successes in his category, bringing home the victory and important points in view of the Championship. The second and third steps of the podium for the same class belonged to Marco Pegoraro from Vicenza and Alessio Ferretti.

Renzo Ravagli found no competition for the Veteran class where he took another victory, leaving behind Riccardo Giannettoni and Lucio Chiavini. Honours and credit for the 4T class go to Mirko Pavan, faster than Omar Gambarini and Alexander Maltry.

Now the Challenge Enduro Master Beta takes a short summer break to return next 10 September in Montone (PG).

Betamotor and Matteo Grattarola together again!

Betamotor is pleased to announce a new agreement with Trial rider Matteo Grattarola, effective 1 June 2023.

After many years together and the excellent results achieved in 2022, Matteo and Beta had decided to separate their respective paths at the end of last season.

After a brief experience with Vertigo, Matteo decided for a change of direction and Betamotor is delighted to welcome him back as a Team Factory rider.

We wish Grattarola a great continuation of the season, happy to see him back in Betamotor colours!

The 1st round of the Enduro Master Beta Challenge, now at its 6th edition, started from Ragogna (UD) in combination with the Friuli Regional Championship under the direction of the MotoClub Tagliamento.

The course included an enduro test of 4 kilometres and two cross tests of 4 and 2 kilometres respectively, to be repeated three times for a total of 56 kilometres. Of the more than 300 bikes present at the race, more than a third were Beta and most of these entered fully in the Beta Enduro Master Challenge, which therefore saw an excellent turnout for the first round.

Round 1 gave victory to Vanni Cominotto, who climbed the top step of the podium in the Top Class riding a Beta RR 250 2T and imposing his pace on Alessio Bini and Andrea Gava, respectively silver and bronze of the day.

In the 125 Class, the best player was Emanuele Pittioni, who gave Gioele Granchi a hard time while the podium was completed by Filippo Bellesia. Growing in size for the 250 Class, the main player was Jacopo Rossi, who edged out Lorenzo Andreini by 2 minutes and Lorenzo Filippi by 3 minutes and 46 seconds, while the 300 2-stroke Class was the affair of Mattia Coppa, who was faster than Gabriele Nagostinis and Marco Pegoraro.

Omar Gambarini was the leader of the 4T Class riding a Beta 350. Omar over the course of the 9 special stages got the better of a high-performing Mirko Pavan and an equally impressive Alexander Maltry. To close the first round of the Challenge called «Liqui Moly Race» could not miss the Veteran Class with 16 competitors at the start. Here Renzo Ravagli, an «institution» for Master Beta, came out on top, ahead of Marco Drusiani, another loyalist of this off-road event, and Giulio Barbieri.

Team Manager Paolo Machetti was in charge of the organisation and Beta hospitality, renewing the appointment for all trophy riders for next 21st May in Pomarance (PI) with the Enduro Master Beta Race 2 – Reikon Race.

Andrea Sofia Rabino renews for 2023

Born in 2006, brown hair, an uncommon talent and a Trial 2 Women World Title among her latest achievements. This is the identikit of Andrea Sofia Rabino, the very young Trial rider in whom Beta has decided to invest in for the next season in the Women’s Category.

Andrea Sofia’s palmarès includes the following important results:

First place at the European Women International in Brezova in 2019
Second position at the Italian Trial Championship Women A in 2020 and third position at the World Championship Trial2 Women
First position at the World Championship Trial2 Women and also first position at the Italian Championship Trial2 Women A in 2021
First position at Italian Championship Trial Women’s A in 2022 and third position at World Championship Trial2 Women

Beta is pleased to announce the continuation of the relationship with Rabino, who becomes Official Factory Trial rider, reconfirming the interest of the House to invest in Trial and in the potential of the girls who practice the sport, and in particular on Andrea Sofia and all the Rabino Sport Staff, who over time have shown value and professionalism.

New collaboration for Beta
in the Motocross World Championship.

The MXGP 2023 World Championship season starts with many interesting news for Beta

The wait is over, after a winter of preparations, Betamotor is pleased to announce the new collaboration with the Team it will join for the next seasons of the MXGP Motocross World Championship.

It will be the Beta MRT Racing Team that will bring the Beta RX 450 to the track in 2023. Two years after its debut in the MXGP World Championship, Betamotor decided to renew its Motocross commitment by teaming up with a new collaborator who is strongly motivated to support the Company in its growth in the Queen Class of Motocross.

The MRT Racing Team, an all-Italian organisation born in Viterbo, Italy, made its debut in the Motocross World Championship in 2012, immediately achieving excellent results. The now decade-long experience in racing alongside young riders and Cross professionals, make MRT the ideal team to continue the experience in MXGP, where the goal will always be to challenge the undisputed dominance of the Austrian and Japanese manufacturers, going well beyond the Top Ten, already achieved by the first RX 450 at their debut in the World Championship.
The news for the 2023 MX season, however, does not end there!

Alongside the experienced Alessandro Lupino, who after a very complicated season from a physical point of view has finally managed to regain form and spirit, there will be a new young rider, who will ride for MRT Racing Team Beta on the RX 450.

Born in 1997, originally from Nottinghamshire, England, Ben Watson is the new MX Beta rider.
Considered to be one of the most promising young British riders of recent years, Ben Watson missed out on the Top-Ten in the final MXGP standings by a handful of points in 2022, but has shown great potential on many occasions, and is now ready to look for his and his new bike’s peak performance, motivated by a new signing for an Official Factory.
Ben’s career began at the age of 10, when he participated in the European Class 65 series, winning his first race. His last years include a Top Five finish in the MX2 World Championship in both 2018 and 2020, where Ben showed all his speed with wins in the GPs of Lommel and Pietramurata, moving on to MXGP in 2021.
